The Bank of Mexico issued Mexican Peso banknotes in 15 different denominations, including this 1000-old Mexican Pesos banknote (Cuauhtémoc). They are part of the obsolete Old Mexican Peso banknotes series. The Bank of Mexico started issuing these 1000 Mexican Peso banknotes in 1936. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1978.
